Who We Are

The Glaize Creek Sewer District is a public sanitary sewer District formed and operating under Section 249 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. The District was formed on January 8, 1973. Specific operating requirements and duties of members and officers are contained in Revised Statutes of Missouri (RSMO) Section 249.761 through 249.810.

What We Do

The Sewer District provides sanitary sewer service (collection, transmission, treatment and discharge of treated waste) to customers located within the boundaries of the Sewer District as established by Order of the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, Missouri as well as to customers who live in the Glaize Creek Watershed. The total service area of the District is estimated to be 10,737 acres. The Sewer District does not collect or transmit stormwater.

District Service Area

The boundaries of the District follow property lines so a description using streets and other landmarks is not practical. However, the boundaries of the District are generally as follows: on the East, the Mississippi River; on the WEST, a line running along Old Antonia Road from the Rock Creek Sewer District to the western boundary of the Parkton Subdivision; from the NORTH, a line bordering the Rock Creek Public Sewer District; and from the SOUTH, a line generally north of Engle Creek Road running from the Mississippi River to the southern boundary of the Parkton subdivision.

The District includes Old Town Barnhart, Kohler City and Ligouri, and the subdivisions of The Village of Jefferson; Parkton; Bayberry Farms; Glaize Creek Gardens; and parts of the Barnhart Hills subdivision. The remaining part of the Barnhart Hills subdivision is in the Rock Creek Sewer District. However, the District also provides sanitary sewer service to the entire Glaize Creek Watershed. This 10,739-acre service area is substantially larger than the acreage included in the legal boundaries of the District.
